Lineage unknown

Red & Bold Markers - Mutations from the Mangum modal, also called the Standard Mangum Markers. The Mangum modal consists of those marker values from the original immigrant ancestor John Mangum.

* All the descendants of John Mangum the immigrant (1692) are Haplogroup R-FGC20563 (the most recent found), which is a subgroup under R-L1308. R-L1308 is a subgroup under the older R-Z253, R-L21 & R-M269 Haplogroups. The other participants in this chart had not delved deeper into their Y-chromosome, so the R-M269 is the most recent Haplogroup found for most of them. Haplogroup R-M269 (previously R1b1a2) is thought to have originated most likely in Anatolia around 8000 years ago and is the dominant lineage in all of Western Europe today. NOTE: The “R” before the dash means they are under the Haplogroup ‘R”, one of the major divisions of the human family tree as shown by the Y-chromosome.

** CDYa & CDYb are the markers that designate the Samuel Mangum and Absolom Mangum branch points in the Main Mangum Lineage.
