2. A line of text was left off the end of Chapter 6, page 51. The last sentence reads now:

"We believe the Joseph Mangum of Warren/Bute County was a son of Samuel Mangum . . ."

The sentence should have been completed as follows:

" . . . while the Joseph of Granville & Orange Counties was probably a son of William.^24"

3. There is a mistake in Chapter 7 titled "Samuel Mangum", page 53. Note the last sentence in the first paragraph. If those lineage connections are correct as theorized, then Samuel Mangum would be a first cousin of baby James Mangum born in the Albemarle Parish, not an uncle as the text shows. Cousins were also common godparents of children in that parish.

4. Page 56, caption to photograph. Vida Jeruda is Vida Jerusah. Huskel is Hershel.

5. Page 57, caption to photograph. Vida is daughter of William Marcus Mangum.

6. Page 126, paragraph titled Benjamin Joseph Parham - Contrary to the statement that he had no children, he had 3 children as shown in the lineages, page 260, #49.

7. Chapter 18, page 157 and lineages pages 259 & 269. Kenon Parham's middle name is McCoy, not Macoy.

8. The caption under the top left photo on page 168 erroneously says that Lizzie Butler is in the photo. She is not. See correction 10 below.

9. Lineage Errors:

Page 233, #54 - Paulett Childs is Paulette Childs

- Michael Darron was born 1966 not 1968

- Jennifer Paulette was born 1968, not 1970

Page 235, #'s 72 & 73 - Make same changes described for page 233 above plus change the following:

- Windy Berry should be Wendy Berry

- Austin Michale Carson should be Austin Michael Carson and born 1995 not 1994.

- Jennifer Paulette Carson married Tod Owenby, not Ownby

- Evn Ownby should be Evan Michael Owenby

- Add as child to Jennifer and Tod Owenby:

Carson McKenzie Owenby b. 13 April 1997.
